Being able to edit a file does not grant permission to publish it. A lyric video can involve several distinct rights: the recording, composition, lyric text, visual assets and fonts. This is general information, not legal advice or a license determination for your song.
Separate recording and composition permissions
A song recording and its underlying composition may have different owners. Displaying lyrics can involve rights beyond permission to play the recording. A track downloaded from a streaming service or found online is not automatically licensed for your own published video.
Ask the relevant rights holders or use a source whose license explicitly covers your intended use. Check whether commercial publication, social platforms, edits and attribution are addressed. If the answer is unclear, get qualified advice rather than relying on a generic online checklist.
Check every background and graphic
Photographs, footage and logos have their own terms. Some licenses restrict commercial use, redistribution, identifiable people or trademarks. A downloadable file is not necessarily a reusable publishing asset.
Keep source URLs, license documents and any permission correspondence. Original SVG preservation in the studio retains the source artwork; it does not transfer ownership or remove its license requirements.
Review fonts and attribution requirements
A font license may distinguish desktop use, web use and other distribution rights. Confirm that your chosen source permits the way you use it. Uploaded custom fonts are your responsibility, while remote font availability does not replace reading its license.
Attribution is useful when a license requires it, but naming an owner is not a substitute for permission. Place credits legibly and retain required notices without implying the rights holder endorses your video.
Keep a publication checklist
Before export, list the song, lyric source, background images, video clips, graphics and fonts. Record the permission or license for each and check that the intended destination is covered. A platform may accept an upload and still apply claims or restrictions later.
If you receive a rights complaint, pause publication and assess it with the relevant parties. For concerns about material hosted on this website itself, contact RV Anveshana with the page URL and a clear explanation. Do not send confidential source files unnecessarily.
